9 හැවිරිදි දැරියක් වන පවනි, Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy යන රෝග තත්වයට ලක්ව ඇති අතර එම රෝගය සඳහා කිසිදු ප්‍රතිකාරයක් නොතිබීම නිසා ඇය නිරන්තරයෙන් රෝගාතුරු වෙයි. එබැවින් ඇයට ඒ සදහා ඖෂධ අවශ්ය වේ. ඇයට සාමාන්ය ජීවිතයක් ගත කළ නොහැකි අතර, සාමාන්ය වැඩිහිටි ආහාර පරිභෝජනය කිරීමට ද නොහැක. ඇයට ඉතා අඩු ප්‍රතිශක්තියක් ඇති බැවින් ඇය නිතරම සාමාන්ය ජීවිතයේ අසනීප වන අතර වෛද්‍ය ප්‍රතිකාර හා සම්බන්ධ අනෙකුත් වියදම්  ඔවුන්ට අභියෝගයක් වී ඇත. එපමණක් නොව, දියණියගේ ජීවිතයේ මේ ස්වභාවය නිසා ඇයගේ මවටද,  කිසිම ආකාරයක  ස්වයං රැකියාවක හෝ නිරත වීමටද අපහසුය.

9 year old girl Pawani is affected by *Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy*. She needs continuous care and medications as there is no cure for the disease. She is totally bedridden, unable to consume normal adult food. Since she has very low immunity, she gets sick very often the normal life and possible earnings gets jeopardized each time this happens involving medical and other expenses. Also due to this nature of life, the mother is not in a position to do any sort of self employment. instead she have to be the full time nurse for the loving daughter.

ඇගේ වෛද්යවරයා විසින් නිර්දේශ කර ඇති පරිදි ඇයගේ ප්‍රධාන පෝෂ්‍යදායී ආහාරය වන්නේ "පීඩියා ප්රෝ 2-5 සහ සස්ටජන්" ය. 400g pedia pro දින 3 ක් පමණක් ප්‍රමාණවත්ය. CareStation වෙත පැමිණීමට පෙර, ඔවුන්ගේ දරුවා බලාගැනීම සඳහා අවශ්ය වූ ආහාර හා ඖෂධ ලබා දීමට නගරයේ මුදල් සැපයුම්කරුවන්ගෙන් ණය ලබාගෙන තිබේ. ඔවුන්ට නියමිත වේලාවට ගෙවීමට නොහැකි වූ නිසා පොලී ඉතා ඉහළ ගොස් ඇත. මේ තත්වය මුළු පවුලම අවධානම් තත්වයකට පත් කර තිබේ.

As recommended by her doctor her main nutrient meal is "Pedia pro 2-5 and sustagen school". A 400g pedia pro will last only 3 days. Before they came to CareStation, In order to take the best care of their child they were providing her required food and medicines taking loans from money vendors in town. where the interest has gone very high as they were not able to pay on time. This situation has put the whole family in a vulnerable state.

ශල්යකර්මයෙන් පසු සුවය ලැබීමෙන් අනතුරුව, 2019 අප්‍රේල් 15 වන දින සිට පවනීට හුස්ම ගැනීමේ අපහසුතාවයක් ඇති අතර සතියක කාලයක් ඔක්සිජන් වාතාශ්රය යටතේ තබා ඇති අතර දැන් නිමා වී ඇත.

How are we helping her?

Every month they are in need of funds for Medication, Transport. this even gets worse when she gets sick of various diseases due to the low immunity.

CareStation stepped in to help the little girl's family. From February 2018 we have been continuously providing with her a food pack full of recommended nutrition items by the Doctor of worth LKR 10,000. Additionally, we provided a Blender 2018 July so that the child can be fed with blended food items.

The mother of the child got TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) issues and needed to take few tests for her enlarged neck for LKR 8,000. She was advised to admit to do a surgery in January 2019, unfortunately Pawani got an infection and sent to Kalubowila hospital and admitted at Colombo Baby Ridgeway for a surgery.

While recovering from the surgery, after two months on 15th of April 2019 Pawani had a breathing problem and kept under Oxygen ventilator for a week and now discharged.
